In 2003 Hardie Grant Books published my fully illustrated autobiography Chapters and Chances, essentially the record and examination of a professional life spanning more than fifty years as a performer, author, designer and director in the Australian theatre. My involvement in the theatre scene of this country has coincided with periods of radical change both social and attitudinal and it´s therefore been my good luck and great privilege to have had ongoing involvement in projects that have made a difference in this country: to have played my part in reshaping the landscape of modern Australian community.

In the overall scheme of things my career has been prodigious and fairly unusual, a journey unlikely to be replicated nowadays since the times have changed too much to allow or encourage such single minded pursuits; as the book is now out of print it´s here at my website that the accomplishments can be referenced and revisited.

Because the site is entirely self-penned the points of view are bound to be personal, not too subjective I hope, but that´s the risk. I trust you find what you´re looking for here and that your memories are sweet; or if you´ve stumbled on me by accident that you´re pleasantly surprised.
